Picture 1 of 2. This customer had a unique problem that we solved with a unique solution. The refrigerant lineset that ran to his wine cooler was sweating and dripping water on the ceiling between the second floor and first floor. The insulation that wrapped this copper line had degraded and saturated to the point that it could no longer hold the cold in and was causing the pipe to sweat profusely. Normally the drywall ceiling would be cut open to gain access to the piping to be able to reinsulate it. Repairing the drywall and matching the knockdown texture is difficult to get just right. We chose to go to the second floor and lift a portion of the carpeting and cut out an area of the plywood floor to gain access. Made the repairs, replaced the plywood piece, laid the carpet back down and kicked it back into place for a snug fit. This is a picture of Brennan wedged in between the first and second floor brazing the copper pipes back together.
